Prayer For Strength Junk Journal Spread
This prayer for strength junk journal spread is important to me. Some pages in my Life Junk Journal are just for fun. Some exist simply to indulge my creativity. And some pages like this spread, are there for the moments where life gets hard.
I have two supportive spreads inside my mini Life Junk Journal, and it’s a small enough journal to easily carry in a bag or keep by the bed – the two supportive spreads are a prayer for strength that helps with resilience in tough times, and the other is a double page spread with eight intentions to help me on the days I need a little more support, or a steady reminder that I can get through what’s in front of me. They’re always there waiting to help..
I’m sharing both spreads with you today: a prayer for strength and resilience, and eight intentions to sit alongside it. Feel free to copy them into your own journal, create spreads around them, and have them to hand to read them whenever you need them.

Prayer For Strength Junk Journal Spread Inside My Mini Life Junk Journal
Why I Keep These Pages in a Mini JUNK Journal
I made my prayer and intention spreads inside my mini Life Junk Journal on purpose. It’s small, easy to slip into a bag, and never feels like a project – it’s simply there to support me. On difficult days, having something physical to hold and read through can bring a different kind of comfort than scrolling on a phone. These two spreads are the pages I turn to most in challenging times. I hope you find them useful too.
how to create the prayer and intention spreads
These spreads are quick, easy and simple. They took me no more than 15 minutes in total. You can create any spread you wish around your prayer and intentions, I simply used some lovely flower stickers I had to hand.
For the prayer I created a pink flower spread before I started writing (risky! but in the end the writing fit perfectly inside the spread), for the intentions I wrote out all eight intentions first and then built the spread around them.
There’s no right or wrong way here! The point is to have your prayer and your intentions set out in your Life Junk Journal so that they can be there for you in moments of stress and challenge.

Prayer For Strength

Eight Intentions
the scripts
Below is the prayer for strength and the eight intentions that you can use in your junk journal.
A Prayer for Strength
May you find the gentle strength to meet this day just as it is, and just as you are. When the world feels loud or overwhelming, may you find a quiet space to rest and breathe inside yourself.
Grant yourself the courage to face what is ahead, not with forced boldness, but with a soft, steady confidence that you are enough for this moment.
When you feel fragile, remember the resilience of the natural world – how trees and flowers bend in a breeze without breaking, and how the earth quietly heals and renews itself after a storm.
May you trust your own inner wisdom, treat your vulnerability with deep kindness, and take each step forward at your own pace.
I created this spread using pressed florals and wax seals in soft pinks – the softness of the page felt right for something meant to be comforting rather than corrective.
8 Intentions for Difficult Days
- I do not need to be fiercely strong every moment. It is enough to simply breathe and stay present.
- I release the things I cannot control today and choose to focus only on my next small step.
- Courage does not always roar. Sometimes it is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying “I will try again tomorrow.”
- Even when everything around me feels uncertain, I can always find a steady anchor within my own breath.
- Like the turning of the seasons, I have the capacity to heal, adapt, and grow through this change.
- Like a seed beneath the soil, I am growing and adapting even when the progress is hidden from view.
- I am allowed to feel tired and will treat my vulnerability with patience and gentle care.
- I have survived difficult days, and I trust my ability to navigate this moment one breath at a time.
I used warm oranges and golds for this spread – a contrast to the prayer page, but the two sit together beautifully when the journal is open flat.

Make This Spread Your Own
You don’t need to recreate these exactly. If you want to make your own version:
- Choose two colour palettes that feel meaningful to you – soft and calming, or warm and grounding, like I did here.
- Handwrite the words yourself. There’s something about seeing your own handwriting on a hard day that feels more personal than any printed page.
- Keep it in a small, portable journal if you can. The point isn’t to make something beautiful for later – it’s to have something steady with you right now, when you need it.

FAQ’s
Can I use this prayer and the intentions in my own junk journal?
Yes – please do. Copy them out by hand, print them, or adapt the wording to make them your own. They were written to be shared and used, not kept to one journal.
Why keep a prayer and intentions in a junk journal instead of somewhere else, like my phone?
A physical page you can hold and return to often feels more grounding on a hard day than something on a screen. Keeping it in a small journal also means it’s always with you, without needing to search for it.
Do I need to be religious to use this prayer and the intentions?
Not at all. They are written in a gentle, open way so they can be read simply as words of comfort and strength, whatever your beliefs.
What size journal is best for keeping pages like this?
A mini junk journal works really well, since it’s small enough to slip into a bag or keep by your bed – meaning it’s there the moment you need it, rather than tucked away somewhere less accessible.
