I made this set after falling a little too in love with soft, snowy watercolour scenes – the kind of pages that make you feel like curling up by a fire with a hot drink. If that’s your vibe too, this free pack is for you.

what’s included

10 x A5 spread backgrounds – snow-dusted pine trees, mountain ranges, frozen rivers, and a warmly lit log cabin tucked into the trees
1 page of elements – extra pine branches, snowflakes, and winter florals you can layer onto any spread, or use elsewhere in your journal
Designed specifically for A5 journals, so everything is sized and ready to print below. It is also possible to download these spreads as PNG images and re-upload them to Canva that then allows you to resize them to suit your purposes. You can also make a COPY of the master file in Canva (link below to go to the master file), once you have made a copy you can resize that file using Canva’s resize tool – keeping the original A5 file as your master copy.

where these A5 Winter Wonderland Junk Journal Printables came from

Every spread in this set was created in Canva, using Canva’s AI image tool to generate the winter scenes. If you’d like to create your own version of this style, Canva AI can do that for you! Here’s the prompt I used to get these snowy, storybook-style backgrounds:

“Winter blues and ice and snow journal page, soft watercolor wash, lapland style elements and mountain and pine tree elements and winter log cabin arranged as a soft border around an internal pale icy blue wash winter wonderland scene arranged naturally on aged linen paper, dusty blush rose palette, hand-painted illustration style, gentle paper grain texture, uneven organic edges, high resolution printable, portrait orientation“

Play around with the AI prompt to change for example, the season, the colour palette, or scene (a snowy village instead of a cabin, for example) to make your own AI generated Canva spread set entirely unique to you.

*Note: Canva has limitations on the amount of AI prompts you can give it in any one month. Once you run out it will notify you, you simply have to wait for the renewal date when you can use the AI feature again.
